Not a lot of words need to be associated with this Vans Vault drop as it takes Vans’s timeless and iconic Authentic for a more luxurious spin. Maintaining the overall shape, the materials are given an update away from the usual more pedestrian use of canvas. The monotone offering is available now at Caliroots.

Reebok Classics x Swizz Beatz


Reebok has officially announced its collaboration with Swizz Beatz, for 2011 and will be teaming up with the music producer to create a special line for Reebok Classics. While not many details are available at the moment, Reebok says that Swizz Beatz will also serve as curator for the Reestyle collective, a global group of artists who have been selected to conceive and produce creative content in the realms of dance, music, art and style. adidas Y-3 2011 Spring/Summer Honja Low


A new season of adidas Y-3 sneakers have hit retailers as the brand offers a more progressive collection of high-end offerings. The signature Honja Low gets reworked into a two-material upper which offers a contrast between dull suede on the front and bright patent leather on the back. Branding is applied to both the heel and above the last stripe on the lateral side of the sneaker. Available now at SSENSE with a retail price of $260 USD.


adidas Y-3 2011 Spring/Summer Moto High


A new model to emerge out of adidas’ Y-3 Spring/Summer 2011 collection is the following version of the Moto High. Featuring a tonal black colorway, the sneakers focus on two distinct materials with leather and denim. Offering a subtle contrast in textures, the rest of the sneaker is relatively clean and untouched aside from a Y-3 logo over the ankle strap. The Moto High in denim is available now at SSENSE with a retail price of $320 USD.

New John Cardiel Vans Era 46 Pro


Vans drops a new colorway in its Era 46 Pro, a more rugged and durable take on the brand’s classic Era silhouette. The shoes feature a black and orange scheme tying back to the Bay Area and its native son John Cardiel, who came up with the color combo. Look for these now through select Vans stores, including Premier. Retail is set at a reasonable $60 USD.

Known predominately for the brand’s female shoes, nevertheless Christian Louboutin’s frequent use of spikes and studs have made a name for his male offerings, most notably with the Rollerboy. Supra Black & White Pack


Supra recently announced this pack set to be their first of 2011. The “Black & White” pack consists of the Cuttler, Assault and Skytop II model each colored with the same native print. Created from a mix of block and triangular shapes, the black and white uppers are complemented with white soles and flat waxed laces in black. Fans may recall these images from issue 20 of Sneaker Freaker.

Aloha Rag & Converse JP Zip


Hawaiian-based boutique Aloha Rag has collaborated with Converse to produce these limited edition JP Zips. Having opened there three years ago, Aloha chose New York as the inspiration for shoe. Matching the cosmopolitan nature of the Big Apple with an array of materials, the model features a crinkled, patent leather mid, a patterned buffalo leather outer and is lined with a soft leather interior. The model is detailed with an off white sole, an embroidered skull/hearts logo, a brass zipper and heel spike; making the shoes make-up as busy and as versatile as NYC itself. The collaborative model is now available from Aloha Rag’s online store and is limited to just 150 pairs.

New Deluxe Vans Chukka


Japanese label Deluxe recently redesigned the iconic Vans Chukka. The boot has been given a luxury makeover, now sporting a black croc skin upper and leather heel strip. Whilst the Vans side panel tag remains, the front label has been replaced with a modern, collaboratively banded version, colored to match the white accents found on the shoe. Fans won’t be asked to wait in anticipation for long, since the release date has already been confirmed to be November 13.

Christian Louboutin Rantus Orlato Hi-Top



For the 2010 Fall/Winter season, Christian Louboutin is releasing their Rantus Orlato model in several different types of fabric and patterns. Having already incorporated studs on a different men’s high-top sneaker in the past, the French luxury brand explores a leopard-print upper as one of their design aesthetics for the Rantus Orlato. The sneaker will feature their famous red sole with the company’s signature logo, and will be available for purchase at Christian Louboutin flagship stores and select high-end retailers.
