The JV Painted Flag and Studded Chuck Taylor All Star shoes take a DIY approach to classic stars and bars. In true punk Americana style, the Painted Flag Chuck Taylor All Star Hi is reinvented this season in monotone colors with a paint overlay application and finished with studs. The signature painted canvas Chuck Taylor All Star Hi is intricately embellished with pyramid studs around the ankle, creating the ultimate rock ‘n roll statement. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Premium

Continuing our coverage of Converse for Spring 2011 we take a look into a new set of Chuck Taylor All Star Premiums. Three options are seen here, each featuring a burnished leather upper, waxed laces, a washed canvas flag lining and split leather sockliner that gives them that perfect antique look. All can be found via finer Converse retail accounts nationwide.

Aloha Rag & Converse JP Zip

Hawaiian-based boutique Aloha Rag has collaborated with Converse to produce these limited edition JP Zips. Having opened there three years ago, Aloha chose New York as the inspiration for shoe. Matching the cosmopolitan nature of the Big Apple with an array of materials, the model features a crinkled, patent leather mid, a patterned buffalo leather outer and is lined with a soft leather interior. The model is detailed with an off white sole, an embroidered skull/hearts logo, a brass zipper and heel spike; making the shoes make-up as busy and as versatile as NYC itself. The collaborative model is now available from Aloha Rag’s online store and is limited to just 150 pairs.

Cody Hudson & Converse (RED) Chuck Tayor All Star High

Another Converse collaboration is in the pipeline as Cody Hudson puts his creative touches on the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star High. The American artist joins Parra as a recent collaborator, with his design featuring a red leather upper with embossing on the side and tongue. Also seen is a blue toecap which creates a strong contrast in the aesthetic. A release is not yet available but should come in the next few weeks.
