The $15 Million iPhone | IamJuanC

As if the iPhone wasn't already costly enough, an anonymous Hong Kong business commissioned exclusive and elite gadget company Stuart Hughes of Liverpool to create an iPhone valued at approximately $15 million USD. How did they manage to make it worth that much? First of all they embedded 600 flawless white diamonds inside a solid gold dressing (the Apple logo itself is made up from 53 diamonds), and then they topped it off with a home button made from a rare 26 carat black diamond which, by itself, is worth $14.5 million USD.

Is This How The iPad Mini 2 Will Look? | IamJuanC

Dutch website MobiLeaks have unveiled a render create to show what the Apple iPad Mini 2 will look like based on some leaked specifications. According to the anonymous source, the new version of the popular tablet device will have a similar screen size to the first version - 7.9 inches - but it will be a hi-res Retina display at 2048 x 1536 pixels (324ppi). It's also claimed the iPad Mini 2 will have an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel on the front and will be 0.3mm thicker than the current option. It's unlikely Apple will reveal the new tablet at WWDC in June, so we will have to wait until later in the year to find out if the rumours are true.

Rumor: Apple to Unveil its Long-Awaited Gaming Controller sometime this month | IamJuanC

With Apple‘s dominant array of technology devices, it’s not unfathomable to speculate on the brand’s foray into a previously untapped, though sizable niche: gaming. While Microsoft has a long-running, successful stake in the market, TechCrunch reports that Apple has been meeting with developers at this year’s Game Developers Conference to bring an Apple game controller to the market. While its existence is yet to be officially confirmed, beefed up patent submissions for D-pad controllers, Apple’s existing mediums for gameplay (i.e. iPhone, iPad and iPod), and a tip-off from AnandTech‘s editors all signal the controller’s existence. Apple is set to host an iPad-focused conference later in April, and the device is speculated to be a main talking point. Be on the lookout for more updates in the coming weeks.

Apple’s iWatch to Arrive by the End of 2013? | IamJuanC

As rumors abound surrounding the release of Apple‘s potentially wearable technologies, all signs are now hinting at the possible release of the Apple iWatch sometime later this year. Of course, with the product’s release unconfirmed by Apple, the rumor still remains speculative at best. The iWatch is thought to combine the functionality of a phone with GPS and health monitoring sensors. The news source also hints at Jony Ive’s (Apple’s Chief Product Designer) longstanding interest in watches, while the company’s venture into wearable fitness tracking with Nike+ and the FuelBand may have been a platform for the iWatch. While mum is still the word on Apple’s end, another wearable computer from Google may serve as the impetus for speeding up the launch date.
