Team Blackberry!

Barely surviving Apple’s veritable onslaught of technologically-advanced and aesthetically-appealing phone products, BlackBerry has crawled out from the dust to offer their rebuttal: the 7 series of smartphones. Sleek and powerful, the phones all boast sophisticated touchscreens, BlackBerry’s brand new “7″ interface and operating system, liquid graphics technology, better-integrated social media and web features, and are powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. A formidable competitor to the iPhone and Droid offerings out there, BlackBerry’s latest roster of business-ready smartphones will be available soon.

New Cadillac Ciel Concept Car

The Cadillac Ciel, translating to “sky” in French, is named for its convertible look that stretches the boundaries of what Cadillac can produce. Still only a concept car, the Ciel is a four-seat convertible that has all the sleek features of a usual Cadillac car with an impressive twin-turbo 3.6 liter V6 engine, 425 bhp (317 kW / 431 PS) and 430 lb-ft (583 Nm) coupled to a hybrid transmission powering an all-wheel-drive system. The video catches up with the car’s designers to talk inspirations and origins as well as present a closer look at the vehicle.

Apple Campus in Cupertino by Foster + Partners

The relocation of Apple’s flagship headquarters from Cupertino’s Infinity Loop to a grassy 150 acres has been the talk of Silicon Valley. Freshly released details include the commission of United Kingdom architects Foster + Partners in tandem with ARUP North America and Kier & Wright, a local civil engineering firm that counts the likes of eBay and NVIDIA as clients.

The circular design was implemented by Apple themselves – an absolutely curved infrastructure void of straight angled glass with a courtyard situated in its core; cited as both to enhance campus security and internal circulations. The 2.8 million square feet on which it is situated on includes an office and R&D facilities for up to 13,000 employees, a 1000-seat auditorium, fitness center, research facilities, central plant and underground parking.

Perhaps Apple’s greatest achievement comes from its environmental endeavors through generating its own electricity via an on-site central plant, open green spaces for employee enjoyment, and “to exceed sustainability goals through integrated design and development.”

Blueprints and mockups assume the project is approaching an impending green light per city approval and slated for an opening as soon as 2015.

Ghost Rider 2 Spirit Of Vengeance Trailer

Guess that answers the question, “How’d it get burned?” Considering that we’ve seen him as a face-swapping crime boss, a weathered car thief and a scraggly-haired witchunter, it shouldn’t be that surprising to see Nic Cage in the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance trailer as a flame-skulled biker, even if he is letting loose a flamethrowers’ worth of incendiary pee. And frankly, it’s not.

Due out February 17, 2012, the Ghost Rider sequel revisits undead superhero Johnny Blaze, portrayed once again by the man who never saw a paycheck he didn’t like. It’s good to see Cage bringing it in a new movie role, considering that most recent Nicolas Cage news has revolved around both the actor’s arrest for domestic abuse and that of his son Weston Cage. Hey, we loved ever second of Wicker Man; let’s not pretend we won’t all love this too.

You’d think that spikes would be the only element needed for these Rollerboy loafers ($1,295) to grab attention, but apparently it wasn’t enough for Christian Louboutin, as they’ve added plaid. Released for Fall/Winter 2011, these shoes feature colorful plaid cotton covered with silver spike studs. What do you think? I think I'm ordering a pair tonight lol shoe's are fire.

LA Light by Colin Rich

Colin Rich looked to capture the “electric radiance” of Los Angeles through a beautifully shot time-lapse video seen here. It took approximately six months to acquire the necessary clips which came with great difficulty as Homeland Security was a thorn in the side during the shooting process. The footage was captured via Canon 5D Mark II and 7D cameras together with Zeiss and Canon lenses, and custom hardware.

Phantom v1610 1,000,000 fps Camera

Vision Research’s new “Phantom v1610″ isn’t particularly attractive, nor is it as trendy an accessory as some other, better-designed cameras can be marketed as. It has only one draw, and what a draw that is: this camera can shoot up to one million frames per second. That’s right, per second. Calling this fast is an understatement. Although resolution won’t be particularly sharp and the memory fills up in a little under 5 seconds (keep in mind, that’s nearly 5 million pictures), the Phantom is bound to become the next major tool in slow-motion videography. Just imagine the kind of projects that an artist could complete with technology this powerful at their disposal. Although no release date or price have been announced yet, somehow we doubt that it’s going to be affordable.

New Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport and GranTurismo MC

Maserati has priced their North American releases of the 2012 GranTurismo Convertible Sport and 2012 GranTurismo MC at ($147,500) and ($139,900) respectively. These GranTurismo models are updated versions of the European GranCabrio models which were introduced at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and they both pack more powerful 4.7-liter V8 engines with 444 horsepower. If you had to choose, which one would you buy?

Jay-Z & Kanye West - Otis (Official Music Video)

The Throne further cements its royal position within the industry as Jay-Z and Kanye West unveil the official video to their single “Otis.” As previously reported, famed director Spike Jonze created an epic visual filled with fireworks, fist bumps, a fast car and what not in order to emphasize and general larger-than-life status of both rappers. Subtly swaggadocious.

Alexander McQueen Skull Embroidered Velvet Slippers

If you’re looking for a pair of shoes with a velvet touch, then Alexander McQueen’s got you covered with their Embroidered Velvet Slippers (approx. $795). They feature black velvet with leather lining, leather soles, along with a stand out gold stitched skull on the front.

HDI 3D Projectors

HDI have been busy working on creating some amazing looking projectors that pack 3D technology in their quirky exterior. The company has put a lot of work into getting the 3D experience right and these beasts can project a crisp 3D video up to 300 inches with users needing glasses to experience the effect. HDI claims to have fixed the many problems normally associated with 3 dimensional viewing such as sickness and migraines which will certainly be a plus when watching a long film.

6 projectors will be on offer with the ‘Cube’ model launching in February 2012 and the rest available later on that year. All projectors are laser driven meaning sharper images and less power consumption and of course run high-definition video as well as 3D.

The designs on offer give customers a great variety of choice with some being better for the boardroom where as others might suit an up-market living room. They certainly beat what’s currently out there in terms of looks, you’ll probably spend as much time looking at the box as you will viewing what’s coming out of it. Prices range from $55,00 to $85,00.

Gucci ‘Diamante’ Carry-On Bag

Perfect for that all important flight, Gucci release this carry-on bag calling it the ‘Diamante.’ It takes it’s name from the wool from which it’s made along with high quality cotton and leather trimmings on the corners, handles and zips. The pattern is certainly more subtle from what we’re used to seeing Italian fashion house and would suit someone looking for a classier way to travel. Available now at participating Gucci outlets worldwide for around $1,980.

BMW ‘Ghost’ Concept Bike

BMW‘s motor cycle division has created some of the best bike’s the road has ever seen and artist Marko Petrovic has decided to design the future of the companies bikes. Calling it the ‘Ghost’ the two wheeler has a design that pays tribute to BMW‘s previous legends but brings something new to the game.

The front of the bike is slightly lowered with the mid section arching up creating a unique look. The headlights are clearly inspired by owl eyes and the arrow in the middle almost looks like owl’s wing too. Nestled in the body would be a 1600 cc, 6 cylinder engine for real speed.

Overall this bike mixes both forward looking design with modern practicality that you could really see on the roads within the next few years.
