NEW Bentley Continental GT

The new Bentley Continental GT 4-seat coupe is proving to be a big hit with our Clients since its world debut at the Paris Auto Show. The Car went on sale early this year & interest has been very impressive.

A beautifully sculptured new body gives the GT coupe an even crisper, more defined appearance. The contemporary interior offers new levels of cabin design, comfort and hand-crafted luxury.

Launched about eight years ago Bentley Continental GT has been a best seller internationally and in its second generation gets a reworked exterior, interior and powertrain. While the car’s exterior resembles that of the previous model the 2011 Continental GT gains a more assertive look with LED headlights, prominent front fenders and an upright grille.

Under the hood there is a 6.0 litre W12 powertrain that delivers a total of 567 HP and 700 NM of torque. The car sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and can hit a top speed of 198 mph. The new Bentley’s GT is also much more efficient. It weighs 134 pounds less than the original and, with a high-output 8-cylinder engine set to arrive late next year, will have a 40-percent reduction in emissions compared with the W12 engine.

WeWood Wood Watches

Wood is making a huge come back as of recently with appearances on sunglasses and many other accessories. The watch is probably one of the most obvious of these accessories to apply the natural stuff to and that’s what Los Angeles based WeWood has done. The company looks to use wood in a sustainable way planting a tree for every watch sold as well as the pieces being made out of eco materials that don’t hurt the environment when finished with. Available now at Eco-Age with prices ranging from £79.00 to £85.00.

New Audi R8 GT Spyder

Audi unveiled the GT version of their popular R8 super car last year as a light weight, supped up take on the already powerful flagship model. For 2011, the German automaker takes this topless with this spyder model and it’s even lighter thanks to carbon panels being used throughout the car for weight savings of 85 KGs.

There’s no shortage of power with a 5.2 V10 engine kicking out 560 HP that will take you from 0-60 MPH in 3.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 196 MPH which will sure get your hair flying. Visually the car still looks stunning but has been fine tuned by Audi engineers with a new front splitter with dual lip, a large diffuser and dark LED tail lights.

If things go from hot to cold you can bring the roof up with the touch of a button in 19 seconds and you can do this all the way up to 31 MPH. The interior is high quality as you’d expect from an Audi with fine leather upholstery, multimedia systems and advanced dials make for a great place to be on a journey. Just 333 examples of the R8 GT Spyder will be made and each is individually numbered on the gear nob. Prices start in Germany from €207,800.

This is certainly one of a kind and it’s available to buy right now at Phillips de Pury Shop in New York.

Elecom LEGO USB Hub

LEGO has turned up in some interesting places over the years but the latest is on a USB hub. Made by a Japanese company called Elecom the little 3 port USB hub is covered with a LEGO effect making it easy to snap them together if you have more than one. It’s standard USB 2.0 meaning you can use this with almost any USB compatible device or gadget and is made in 6 colours; red, black, white, blue, green and yellow. Grab yours online now for a reasonable $35.99.

Sony Projector Camcorder

Camcorders have been having a rough few years in the marketplace thanks to the introduction of higher quality cameras on smart phones with greater flexibility. Sony is combating this with the introduction of a camcorder with a small projector attached to the front with the ability to blow up a film to 60 inches.

It’s still a camcorder though with a 7.1 megapixel camera up front that can shoot high definition video with up to 12 x zoom to capture far away scenes. Shooting in the dark is dealt with by two small LED bulbs which is a welcome addition. No need for tapes as this camcorder has a 220GB internal hard drive to store hours of video and thousands of photographs.

It will be interesting to see how well this sells. The projector may add a new social element to camcorders that was previously missing being able to shoot and show everyone your footage instantly is a big plus. Available now at Sony‘s Asia retail units, no word on Western availability yet.

iPhone 5 Coming Soon

Apple’s next-generation iPhone will launch in the third quarter. And the company plans to ship 25 million units by year’s end, according to a report.

Citing “people familiar with the situation,” The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple has placed orders with suppliers in Taiwan for some of the next iPhone’s key components. The new version of the iPhone will include an 8-megapixel camera (compared to the current 5-megapixel) and will be thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4.

The article also cites a source who says the new iPhone will use Qualcomm’s baseband chips. The current iPhone uses memory chips from Samsung and baseband chips from Infineon Technologies, according to a report from iSuppli Corp.

Apple is telling suppliers to produce enough of the phones to meet a goal of 25 million units by year’s end. By comparison, Apple said it sold 18.65 million iPhones in the fiscal second quarter, which ended March 26. The initial units will ship to assembler Hon Hai in August.

This new information jibes with other information that has leaked out about the release. Last month, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty sent a note to clients stating that the next iPhone would begin production in August. Rumors about the new iPhone also surfaced last month, including one from Boy Genius Report that cited a source saying the iPhone 5 would sport a “radical new case design.” Bloomberg also reported that the model would have an 8-megapixel camera and an AS5 processor and would be available in September.
