BMW 1M Drifting Atop the World’s Highest Helipad Commercial

BMW’s recent method of engagement for their flagship 1-series M1 seems to be working rather well for themselves through the release of several viral videos. Coming on the heels of the inaugural campaign video “Walls”, BMW raises the stakes through a drift session atop the world’s tallest helipad on the U.S. Bank Tower in Los Angeles. The building stands 1,018 feet and represents the 10th tallest building in the United States. I think this video fake lol pretty cool tho...

Lamborghini Aventador

To celebrate their new super car, Lamborghini have created this short film hyping up the car for potential customers. The Aventador comes in a bright orange body (as any good Lamborghini should) and 700 raging Italian horses under the bonnet with 4 wheel drive to put that power down. Glass Bathtub

Boston-based architecture and design firm Stern McCafferty created this custom bath based on an inspiration photo from owners Amy and Ethan d'Abelmont Burnes. Made from a thick sheet of glass inserted between the two tile walls, it's so simple but yet so cool. I'm stealing this idea and putting a Glass Bathtub in my dream house I plan to build within the next 5 years! -JuanC

Tweeting Bench by Christopher McNicholl

UK designer Christopher McNicholl has been a fan of the social networking siteTwitter for a while now but he wanted to join the physical and social world together and so went about creating this Tweeting Bench. Powered by a small computer in the bench it features two cameras, one in the bench and another planted outside. The seat also contains sensors for when people sit down and it instantly tweets out a photo and the location. A great project and one thatMcNicholl hopes will become more widespread as time goes out.

Celluon evoMouse

The mouse has been with us for 40 odd years now with little change to the idea that we need a physical input to use the computer. That changes with the creation of the evoMouse from Celluon, a small device that puts out an infrared area in which your hands can operate like a regular mouse.

Not only does it work like a regular mouse, bar the physical being of a mouse, you can do much more such as swiping to change pages, pinch-to-zoom like an iPad, even use the area to write using a pen. The evoMouse has two ways of connecting to the computer; either bluetooth or traditional USB which makes it a flexible travel companion and a good replacement for the mouse. No word on where to buy as of yet so keep your eyes peeled at your local computer store.

This offers a very different form of shelter for those who want to change from a log cabin or hotel but also much more flexible as it can be set up almost anywhere.

Vans Vault 2011 Fall Spectator LX

In a recent drop from Vans, the California-based label has updated its Spectator LX model. Similar in many ways to the previous edition, this current version features a woven upper with a leather brogue detailing and contrasting white rubber sole. Available in white and taupe colorways, the sneaker is currently available through select stockists.

Jean Prouve by G-Star Raw Exhibition

The designs of French designer and artisan Jean Prouve will be in display in a new exhibition that opened today in Germany. Consisting of several furniture designs, the collection comes from Jean Prouve’s recent collaboration with furniture company Vitra. His most famous designs will also see a re-issue with a contemporary flair. The exhibition will remain open through July 31, 2011 at the Fire Station by Zaha Hadid on the Vitra Campus in Weil, Germany.

New Sony NEX-C3

Following a late spring leak, Sony officially unveils its small yet capable APS-C camera, the NEX-C3. As an update to the now discontinued NEX-3, the NEX-C3 features a 16.2 MP sensor, a smaller footprint relative to its big brother, the NEX-5, and a 3-inch LCD screen. After it’s all said and done, the NEX-C3 currently holds the title of the world’s smallest APS-C sensor camera. Several colors will be available in either an 18-55mm kit lens ($649 USD) or 16mm kit lens ($599 USD) package. A release is set for late July/early August with several other complimentary items including a new 30mm f/3.5 macro lens and a larger external flash also on the way.

BMW 2011 M3 “Frozen Black” Edition

BMW will welcome a limited edition “Frozen Black” BMW M3 later this month. The blacked-out performance coupe features the M3 Competition Package with full premium and convenience packages and black Novillo leather with red contrast stitching. From the exterior, the defining aspect of the car is the “Frozen Black” paint with painted black M3 GTS wheels and red calipers. The BMW 2011 M3 “Frozen Black” Edition holds an MSRP of $79,650 USD with a run limited to only 20 cars. A release will begin on June 16.
